Out From Under

Piece description from the artist

This image is based on two vintage sock doll toys, a rabbit-like creature and a duck. The images are abstracted in an animated, up-beat style which gives these otherwise nostalgic images an excitement reflecting today's fast pace and energy. Combining the nostalgia of the toys with a contemporary feeling brings together, in one image, a mix of the past and the present. Instead of pining for a remembered, simpler past, this piece brings the past into the present integrating the two into a fun and forward looking whole.
