Just wow! A breathtaking view of Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument from Scenic Byway 12 near Boulder, Utah. I captured this from Calf Creek Viewpoint, Its otherworldly beauty of cream-toned sandstone mountains, mounds and valley sculpted by centuries of erosion with rolling slickrock slopes. The layered textures and flowing lines draw the eye across the expansive Utah terrain. Scattered juniper trees and hardy desert shrubs add subtle hints of green, highlighting the resilience of life in the high desert.
A blue sky accented by soft, drifting clouds, the scene captures the remote and rugged spirit that defines the area. The sweeping valley lined with tall cliffs, iconic geology, and profound sense of solitude come together to reflect the timeless beauty and natural artistry of the American Southwest.
