Orange Beach Evening Drift

Piece description from the artist

Beneath the fishing pier in Orange Beach, Alabama, the evening slows to a steady rhythm as sunset fades into soft coastal tones. The pier’s weathered pilings stand firm against the moving tide, creating a natural frame that guides the eye toward the open horizon. With a long exposure, the Gulf becomes smooth and glasslike, turning restless waves into flowing layers of light and motion.

Standing here felt calm and grounding, as if time briefly paused between each passing wave. The structure above offered quiet shelter while the water below whispered its way back to sea. This peaceful moment along Alabama’s Gulf Coast captures the balance between strength and serenity, where solid earth meets ever-changing water.
