The opah, or moonfish, is a large fish that lives in the open sea. They can weigh up to 200 pounds! Opahs are warm-blooded fish, with beautiful, silvery spotted bodies and red fins. This illustration is part of my 100 Days of Fish series.
Taryn Johnson is an illustrator, animator, and maker of things based in Massachusetts. Inspired by nature and marine biology, she is passionate about sparking curiosity and wonder for our planet and the life that lives here.
