Piece description from the artist
This vertical photograph features an old wooden well house at Pioneer Village, located near the Harry S. Truman Dam Visitor Center in Warsaw, Missouri, USA. This is part of the Hooper House homestead. Captured during the early autumn season, the scene reflects a glimpse into the past, when drawing water from a well was part of daily life—especially challenging during the cold winter months. Surrounded by pine trees, the rustic structure stands as a reminder of Missouri’s pioneer history and resilience. This area, also known as Kaysinger Bluff, offers a charming look at the region’s heritage and timeless rural character.
