Piece description from the artist
Part of the Dia de Ojo series, which portrays the popular Mexican Superstition – Mal de Ojo. Mal de Ojo (The evil eye) is the belief that someones envious gaze can cause illness. I play with this superstition and the popular skeletons of the Mexican culture to give Mal de Ojo character, a being that actual completes the task of hypnotizing its prey into receiving Mal de Ojo.
