Piece description from the artist
I draw my inspiration from geometry, diagrams, scientific drawings, cartoons, and organic forms; Turning them into simplified, decorative and sometimes awkward structures. I play with lines, colors, shapes and patterns to create a seemingly orderly composition that simultaneously possesses a sense of playfulness and looseness. The patterns create a sensation of symmetry where shaky dots, lines and solid chunky shapes oddly harmonize with each other. In Off Guard, organism-like forms cohabitate in a harmonious environment where they grow and multiply creating a garden of organic shapes.
