Looking through the trees, up the hill under the orange glow of an October moon.
One of a series of paintings featuring the moon and hillside houses based on strolls through my neighborhood in Oregon. Arranging color fields to define the forms for this piece, I strive for both the solidity and translucency of uniform color to create a vibrant and dramatic landscape.
Jude's work focuses on piecing shapes and color together with patterns and bold forms to create representational pieces with. Nature and the relationship of figures in landscapes play a big role in the subject of his work.
Jude works with acrylic paint on canvas and wood panels.
