Piece description from the artist
A view of a California oak resting on the rolling hills of Calabasas.
Adventure Artist Ryan Bitinis was born in Clovis, New Mexico and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, but is now based out of Southern California. He earned a Bachelors of Fine Art in Illustration from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and a Masters of Fine Art from California College of the Arts in San Francisco, California. He has been working as a freelance illustrator and commissioned painter since 2008. Whether working in the studio or in the outdoors, Ryan brings adventure to everything he does. Many of his landscapes were painted on site and involved long hikes and steep cliffs, "Do Not Enter" signs, rattle snakes, sun burn, and the occasional blizzard. But Ryan prefers to view Nature as an ally and uses whatever she throws at him as inspiration to work harder. Ryan is a member of the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles and the Foundation of Local Artists in Southern California
