Piece description from the artist

Last summer I took an impromptu getaway, wandering around the Olympic Peninsula and spending a few days in the charming little town of Sequim, known for its numerous lavender farms. I was delighted to witness the most magical sunset one eve, accompanied by a fierce drop in temperature and an almost violent onset of fog and mist. In painting the scene, I felt like I was once again there, alone on the coast that beautiful and bewitching summer dusk.
