Piece description from the artist
A view of San Francisco's iconic Transamerica building photographed from the hills of North Beach.
Torrey Fox is born, raised and educated in the San Francisco Bay Area. She fell in love with pictures as a little girl—from tearing images out of my parents gardening books to stealing her older sister's fashion magazines. She tarted her photography journey in 2005 when she took her first black-and-white film photography class in high school. When she had to make the tough decision as to what she wanted to be when she grew up, she chose to go with her passion for images—studying art with an emphasis in photography at Dominican University of California in San Rafael.
Her photographic style is all about documenting candid moments along with gently guiding portraits to create the best images she is capable of. Her aim in every session is to tell a story through pictures. Capturing the small detail along with the big moments are her specialty.
