Late afternoon sun ignites the buildings in downtown San Francisco, as glowing Victorian-style homes gaze at them from atop their hill in the North Beach neighborhood. Amongst them are quintessential landmarks such as the Transamerica Pyramid and the BofA tower.
Danny Anderson has no formal training in photography, but he makes up for what he lacks in training with a unique perception of the world around him.
From the beginning, Danny's approach was simple; when he photographs a location, Danny attempts to capture not just what it looks like, but what it feels like to be there. In doing so, contrasts, composition, dynamics and drama have become an integral part of his process and consideration while making artwork. Danny is always searching for everyday beauty so he can allow the day-to-day imagery to distract and inspire him. Danny refers to this process as "natural distraction."
Danny currently lives and works in Brentwood, California.
