Piece description from the artist
A breathtaking expansive view of the Black Hills National Forest from the Norbeck Overlook in Keystone, South Dakota, USA. Reached by a short hike from the Peter Norbeck Scenic Byway, this overlook is also part of the famous Iron Mountain Road as it makes its way through Custer State Park. From this vantage point, you can enjoy broad views of the rolling forest-covered hills, the dramatic granite spires of Cathedral Spires, and Black Elk Peak, the highest point in South Dakota. A partly cloudy sky adds depth and drama as sunlight breaks through the clouds, creating a patterns of light and shadow across the landscape.
