I love everything about birds and their nests are little marvels. Birds often return to their nests year after year so I'd never disturb one except to take a photo as a reference. I hope this one is still housing and hatching a little family.
Having always lived an artful life, it wasn't until 2009 that Mary Gregory began painting professionally. After her two girls were grown, the time was right to pursue her artistic dreams. Mostly self-taught, oils quickly became the medium of choice and are perfect for capturing elements of nature and scenes from her country home. Mary takes great delight in the natural world — from a butterfly wing to a vast landscape — and everything in between and feels compelled to point out the goodness that's right before our eyes.
