Nature Trail, Turn of Autumn

Piece description from the artist

Soft pastels on museum-quality wooden board, 24" x 18". Requires framing under glass. This artwork was inspired by a nature walk in a maple forest at River Trail Nature Center, Illinois, during peak autum color. It is a glorious, uplifting experience, under canopies of vivid, glowing, golden yellows and oranges.

Her mother was a fiber artist who held art classes for children for almost two decades, and her father was an architect who took up ceramics as a hobby. Fiona often assisted her parents with the children's art groups at home. She carried the family artistic tradition and love of the natural environment into her art career.
