I started playing around with shapes and colours when the inspiration of a town came to mind. I knew I didn't want conventional buildings, so the shapes within a shape took over with a river running through it.
I was born in Norway and at an early age, our family emigrated to Canada.
My life has seen me both living in Norway and finally on the West Coast of Canada.
After decades of high-pressure careers, it was time to return to what I wanted to live for. That was painting, sketching and photography. I am mostly self-taught and have been producing art in one way or another for as long as I can remember.
My interest in painting has taken me on a journey over the years depicting injustice against humanity, the surreal and now more abstract concepts. I plan to keep painting and creating for as long as possible.
Painting stops time and lets me wonder into concepts and ideas with enthusiasm.
