Piece description from the artist
A view at sunrise toward the Panamint Range bordering Death Valley. The sun burns off haze and fog, giving a skewed sense of distance and scale. I took this photo will intending to take sunrise shots of the valley itself behind me. I turned around and liked the compressing effect the long focal length imparted to the mountains in the image.
