Morning Light Over Horseshoe Bend Grayscale

I captured this photograph standing on the edge of these towering cliffs looking down to the Colorado River as it curves through the sandstone entrenched meander, forming the iconic horseshoe-shaped bend. Rising nearly 1,000 feet above the river, these dramatic cliffs are part of the vast Colorado Plateau. Located within lands of the Navajo Nation, this breathtaking viewpoint offers a remarkable look at one of the American Southwest’s most famous natural wonders as the morning light begins to bring the landscape to life.
