Piece description from the artist
This is cloud #2 (2006) from my book entitled Clouds. Here is an excerpt from the book.
" Visions of Clouds
I am utterly enthralled with clouds.
Clouds make up the oceans of our atmosphere they are transitory by nature; they are sky waves that ripple upon the winds and thermal currents in the air. They embody change for they are constantly in flux. Like yin and yang, they are cold and hot. To really capture the essence of clouds requires passionate anticipation, passionate intuition. Clouds symbiotically pour down rain into the oceans below, where it’s then recycled and sent back above. This recycling is epitomized in earth’s cycle of life, of death, and beyond. It is this beyond that Clouds so personify."
Byron Dudley was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1964, and grew up both in the suburbs of N.J. and in the Bed Stuy section of Brooklyn N.Y. He moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1984 to run track and cross country at the University of Oregon.
In 1995, Byron began life as a long haul truck driver. He did so to de-shelf, reorganize, and reinvent his life, and to find some solitude and time to reflect. He never imagined he would drive over a million miles and in doing so rediscover himself and his first passion: producing works of art.
