As the sun lowers over the Pacific, the air at Rialto Beach in Olympic National Park begins to shift. Cooler currents rise, drawing a soft shawl of mist over the shoreline. Moisture hangs suspended, catching and scattering the last light of the day across sand, driftwood, and sky. During these final golden minutes, light reflects off the mist itself, enveloping the beach in warm tones and long shadows. Absolutely everything glows.

Currently located in Washington, DC, Scott is a native Floridian photographer specializing in landscape photography. His work explores the interplay of light and dark — rejecting the notion that photography is just “painting with light.” He seeks what resides in the contrast — the liminal spaces of the world.
