Memory of spring

Memory of Spring

Piece description from the artist

This is a shot taken at the Tulip Festival in Washington of beautiful white tulips cast in a puddle's reflection. It was chosen for its composition, as well as the juxtaposition of the cheery flowers and friendly tone of the festival captured in strikingly gloomy colors and a melancholic tone. This contrast feels indicative of the act of recalling such memories, which always seem to come a hint of sadness and mourning for their passing.
