A memento mori piece dealing with the transience of life to serve as a reminder for the things that last and are eternal. The composition is designed as a cross to signify redemption in Jesus Christ.
Bay Area artist Jaime Longa's work has examined many subjects throughout the years ranging from narrative trompe l'oeil still life paintings to evocative urban landscapes. He explores concepts that challenge viewers, enabling them to delve deeper into the subjects being portrayed. A graduate of Academy of Art University with a BFA and MFA in Painting, Longa's current work touches upon the many facets of urban life.
