When it comes to the Hawaiian island of Maui, just position yourself on the west side of the island anywhere near Ka'anapali Beach. You're treated to an incredible sunset, just about daily. I did especially love how the sky has mimicked the color of the flowers in the foreground here. The palms stood proudly to create incredible silhouettes. What can I say, it's paradise!
Danny Anderson has no formal training in photography, but he makes up for what he lacks in training with a unique perception of the world around him.
From the beginning, Danny's approach was simple; when he photographs a location, Danny attempts to capture not just what it looks like, but what it feels like to be there. In doing so, contrasts, composition, dynamics and drama have become an integral part of his process and consideration while making artwork. Danny is always searching for everyday beauty so he can allow the day-to-day imagery to distract and inspire him. Danny refers to this process as "natural distraction."
