Mallard In Antelope Canyon

Piece description from the artist

A single male mallard duck glides through the waters of Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona, USA, on a peaceful morning. Located on Lake Powell within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, the towering cream and orange sandstone cliffs rise dramatically above the water, creating a breathtaking backdrop for this quiet wildlife moment.

The calm surface of the water beautifully reflects the majestic canyon walls, while the duck's gentle wake creates subtle ripples that break the mirror-like reflections and add a sense of movement to the scene. The contrast between the small duck and the massive sandstone formations highlights both the scale of the canyon and the serenity of the moment.

This photograph captures an unexpected and tranquil encounter where wildlife and one of the American Southwest's most iconic landscapes come together in perfect harmony.
