Piece description from the artist
This landscape black and white photograph features a stunning, mature elm tree standing proudly in the center of an open field at Springfield Lake Park in Springfield, Missouri, United States. Captured on a quiet spring evening, the peaceful atmosphere and soft natural light highlight the tree’s expansive canopy and textured trunk. Though the specific species is unknown, this elm belongs to the Ulmaceae family and Ulmus genus. These trees are often susceptible to Dutch elm disease, making the presence of such a large and healthy specimen all the more remarkable. A serene moment in nature showcasing the strength and beauty of this enduring tree.
