Majestic 2

Majestic

Piece description from the artist

Lions all over the world range from Vulnerable Species to Endangered Species. Their habitats shrink as humans expand and as climate change affects global ecosystems. They are hunted by poachers and traded illegally. This magnificent animal is coming dangerously close to existing only in zoos and in legend – purely because of human activity. But their story can go on, in harmony with our own. The gear texture I have in the background is done in metal leaf, and represents our human economy and industry working in harmony with the wildlife of our planet – because it’s become obvious that humans won’t help the planet unless our economy still benefits. So let’s restructure our economy to support humanity’s livelihood and also benefit and protect our wildlife and their natural habitats.

I support the Green New Deal, a sweeping change poised to be introduced into our government. Demand our leaders to uphold this new legislation, and let’s design our nation around supporting our environment as well as ourselves.

About Christopher Clark

Denver, CO

Christopher Clark specializes in oil paintings of many subjects: romance, dancing, music, Italy, animals, and cityscapes. His impressionist style is compelled by bold brushwork, brilliant colors, and a luminous sense of light.

Christopher Clark has studied art his entire life, ever since he was a boy watching Bob Ross painting shows on TV (that wacky guy with the afro painting "happy little trees"). His art studies and travels have taken him all over the world in pursuit of culture, art knowledge, and painting subjects.

Christopher's favorite subject to paint is light itself, meaning anything becomes a beautiful subject if the light is stunning. Christopher's paintings are collected all over the world, and he is available for commissions of all kinds.
