Round birch wood creates the "Portal" piece in a series of portal pieces revolving around nature and the viewer as observer. Round windows or little portals encased in a glasslike resin invite the viewer to think about the ways they experience Nature personally. Is it always through screens and windows or actual tactile and physical experiences that benefit health and mindfulness.
Mainly known as a painter, she does delve into 3D works with paint still a prominent element of the work. She is most known for her colorful style and handling of the theme of “Nature”.
She has worked with many brands over the years such as Red Bull, Capital One, Acura, Lexus, Bombay Sapphire, TOMS, State Fair of Texas, SXSW, Fat Tire, Nationstar Mortgage and more. She has won awards locally and also a congressional award in the Arts. Her time in the arts has also allowed her to act as curator, juror and art journalist- promoting local artists and helping them to also gain exposure.
