Location: Mansfield Hollow Lake, CT – 2023
During my recent visit to my hometown in Connecticut after many years, my cousin introduced me to several picturesque locations around Mansfield Hollow Lake for photography. Eagerly, I set out early the next day for the perfect spot. I discovered a tranquil, serene area and waited for the light. The anticipated light conditions did not materialize. Nevertheless, the drizzly weather by the lake stirred a deep and unexplainable sense of nostalgia in me, evoking memories of youthful days spent running and playing across this familiar landscape.
I patiently waited for the rain to ease before making this long-exposure photo. The vibrant contrast of colors between the lake and the surrounding land was beautifully complemented by the swiftly moving clouds, creating an image that enriched a morning filled with thought-provoking calm.
