A colourful view of the Matterhorn rising above Zermatt, the Swiss alpine town known for its wooden chalets and narrow, winding streets. The bright lights of the town contrast with the cool tones of the mountain, showing the warmth of life at the foot of one of the world’s most iconic peaks. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
