A stunning, hazy expansive wide view from the rim at the Green River Overlook in the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park near Moab, Utah, reveals the dramatic edge of the cliff as it plunges sharply into the vast canyon below. From this breathtaking vantage point, the winding Green River, lined with touches of green vegetation, curves through layers of rugged, colorful rock formations. The sheer drop-off emphasizes the immense scale of the landscape, while distant buttes rise from the canyon floor and intricate cliff wall textures showcase the region’s striking geologic history.
