Being completely emersed in Oil and flowers from 2009-2012 I began painting the Flower series. A collection of Oil Paintings created during some amazing moments in my life. Le' Daisy is part of the original flower series. In Fact, this is the original first oil painting created for that series. I Love Le' Daisy. I loved painting it. The Original Painting currently displayed in a private collection in Pennsylvania.
Originally from the city of Scranton PA, Kristopher studied at Keystone College and Marywood University with a degree in studio art, specializing in drawing and painting. During this time, he received promising artist awards and had artwork dispalyed in many shows. Kristopher's began his love and skill for art at a young age.
Throughout his years at the university, he explored sculpture, jewelery making, bronze casting and metal work among others. Kristopher has since been inspired and influenced by "Rembrandt":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rembrandt, "Monet":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claude_Monet, "Dali":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Dal%C3%AD and his all time favorite "Georges Seurat":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_Seurat. He often works in black and white, adding color sparingly.
Today, Kristopher Lake resides in Kitty Hawk NC.
Beach and Bay Influences have begun to show in watercolors, charcoal, and oil paintings.
