La vie en rose

La Vie En Rose

Piece description from the artist

I was inspired to create this piece because one day I was strolling down the West Side Highway, walking along the Hudson River, when an older gentleman biked past me playing "La Vie En Rose" by Edith Piaf through a speaker attached to the front of his bike. It was the most quaint, movie-like scenario and it made me fall in love with that moment. I couldn't stop replaying the song in my head for the rest of the day, so when I got home that night, I sat down and hand-lettered the title of the song.
