Abstract design of newly knotted cord or twine making a fishing net. This focus on a small part of the net, hanging in the air, allows the viewer to examine the knots that make up the net and raise questions about just what is behind the net – the browns, greens and tan colors complement the color of the cord itself.
Steve Heap has been a photographer for over 50 years now (which is frightening to think about!) but in that time he has developed an eye for what would make a striking piece of wall art. Photography is all about the light and his finest attribute is patience! Waiting for the conditions to be just right is the key to making a piece of art that you can be proud of. Of course, luck plays a part, but without that patience of being in the right place at the right time, it just becomes a snapshot. He focuses on capturing images from around the world – timeless shots that reward the viewer with insights as they spend more time with them!
