Kimberling City Table Rock Lake Wave Action BW

While taking in the view of the Kimberling City Bridge from the rocky shoreline of Table Rock Lake, a speeding boat passed by, sending powerful waves rolling toward shore. I captured this in black and white. Moments later, another boat followed in the distance, adding to the surge. I crouched down, ready to capture the moment as the waves crashed dramatically against the flat rock shoreline, creating a series of dynamic splash scenes.

Located in Kimberling City, the bridge seen here is the newer truss structure built in 1957. Beneath the surface lies a hidden piece of history, the original 1927 bridge, now resting about 100 feet underwater. Stretching just over a quarter mile, this crossing spans one of the Ozarks’ most popular destinations. Table Rock Lake, a man-made reservoir covering more than 67 square miles across southwestern Missouri and into northwestern Arkansas, is well known for its boating, recreation, and scenic beauty.
