The delicate colors of summer flowers are so healing, and I tend to admire them for several hours, sketching their petals. This lovely botanical illustration features a charming hand-painted floral bouquet centered around a large, soft pink anemone flower with a detailed dark center. Nestled beside it is a smaller, vibrant orange-red blossom, all beautifully framed by an array of textured green leaves, delicate ferns, and sprigs of pale blue buds. The composition is anchored on a clean, neutral cream background that highlights the rustic charm and heritage-inspired color palette of the piece, making it a perfect blend of modern simplicity and traditional folk art style
Annie was born and raised in Montana, growing up on her family's ranch in the beautiful Smith River Valley. Growing up in Montana's wild and beautiful Landscape led to her deep love of nature and all things rural. Annie attended the Art Institute of Colorado and lived in Denver Colorado until the completion of her Interior Design degree in 2002. After working in that field for several years, Annie moved back to Montana and began her own business, focusing on her ever-growing love of photography. She began traveling the backroads and wilderness of Montana and the Rocky Mountain region and selling her photos professionally in galleries, shops, and online. She primarily searches for rural Landscapes, old barns, abandoned farmhouses, and occasionally wildlife she encounters. Her work as been featured in HGTV, Better Homes and Gardens, and featured in three books on emerging artists of the United States. She currently lives in Billings, Montana, and takes several trips during the year to gather new images.
