Irish Sweater

Piece description from the artist

This painting was created with my mother in mind. She knitted me a lifetime of sweaters, all very beautiful and each unique in their own way. From the time I was a baby until the time, just a couple years ago when she departed this life, my mother frequently asked what kind of sweater would I like next and of course, "What color?". It was always exciting to see the progress as the sweater got closer and closer to its completion. My painting captures the patterns and personality of the hand knit sweaters created by my mother who was also an artist.
