Inland passage

Inland Passage

Piece description from the artist

There was water everywhere! After the ferry rides, I was at last on Hornby Island in BC, Canada. I was visiting friends who had built a home there. It was in a woodsy area with a front on a bluff, overlooking the Lambert Channel. What I remember most was their description of sitting on their deck and watching, in amazement, as hundreds of pods of Orca whales swam silently by. The images of the whales, the sun on the water, and the beautiful natural environment have stayed with me for years.
