Infinite metamorphosis

Infinite Metamorphosis

Piece description from the artist

This piece features the black swallowtail – that was kind enough to take a moment in its busy schedule to pose for some photos – as well as the symbolic shapes of infinity, and the hexagon, which is a fundamental molecular structure. The changing leaves serve as transition points around the circle or cycle. The basis photo was taken at Assembly Row, Somerville during the transition of summer to fall.
