Piece description from the artist
An expanisve view looking down along Utah State Highway 24, this landscape reveals another stunning perspective of Capitol Reef National Park near Torrey, Utah. The highway runs through the rugged desert, inviting travelers deeper into a landscape shaped by the majestic red rock cliffs, mesas, and colorful rock layers of the Waterpocket Fold.
Warm afternoon light brings out the rich reds, oranges, and golds in the sandstone, while scattered juniper trees and desert vegetation add vibrant touches of green across the valley floor. Above, a partly cloudy blue sky completes the bold American Southwest scene, highlighting the park's vast open spaces.
I captured this photograph to show how every turn along Highway 24 offers a completely different view. Whether you're driving through or stopping to take in the scenery, Capitol Reef's dramatic geology and quiet beauty make it one of Utah's most rewarding national parks to explore.
