Heron Fishing Alabama Coastline

Before sunrise, a great blue heron patrols the shoreline of Orange Beach, searching for food along the Gulf Coast. Off to the left, a fishing pier extends into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, standing against the motion of the incoming surf.

Waves roll in with energy before pulling back and leaving a reflective sheen across the wet sand. Captured with a slower exposure, the movement of the water creates a soft, flowing texture along the shoreline. Above, early dawn light paints the sky with gentle tones of purple, pink, and blue, while scattered clouds add depth to the peaceful coastal scene. A calm yet lively start to the day on Alabama’s beautiful coast.
