Piece description from the artist
Just as the sun began to dip below the horizon, I captured this scene from a lower vantage point at White Pocket in Arizona, USA, as golden light glared through the clouds, illuminating the surreal landscape. The curved sandstone lines lead your eyes toward distant, otherworldly mounds that look like something straight off Mars. This has to be one of the most incredible places I’ve ever visite, It truly is a masterpiece of nature’s art carved by time and wind.
The land is filled with swirls, ridges, and bulbous formations, showcasing layers of sandstone in stunning shades of orange, cream, and white. Located near the Utah border within Vermilion Cliffs National Monument on the rugged Paria Plateau, this remote area is accessible only by high-clearance 4WD vehicles. It’s truly mind-blowing, a breathtaking reminder of the Lord’s artistry displayed in the wild beauty of the American Southwest.
