Piece description from the artist
I captured this unique and peaceful countryside scene at a farm near Monett, Missouri, in the heart of the Ozarks, where dramatic clouds filled the sky above neatly arranged rows of freshly baled hay. The towering cumulus clouds created an ever-changing display of light and shadow, allowing patches of brilliant blue sky to peek through while sunlight gently illuminated the landscape below.
What first caught my attention was the incredible sky. Each cloud adds depth, texture, and character. Along the bottom of the photograph, a peak of rows of round hay bales provide a perfect reminder of rural life in southwest Missouri, adding warmth and a sense of place to the expansive view above. It's one of those simple moments that reminds me how beautiful the Ozarks can be, where wide-open farmland and ever changing skies come together to create a landscape that is inspiring.
