A black and white photograph as sleet and hail start to fall in Monument Valley in Arizona by the backside of the East Mitten butte rock formation. The spring storm came into the area pretty quickly and also quickly went from hail to sleet and even some snow. A rare occurrence and we were lucky to experience it. I have more photos of the unusual weather. The desert landscape has a mystical haze in the atmosphere. This is part of the Navajo Tribal Park, an iconic desert landscape in the American Southwest.
