Gus (the Goose)
Piece description from the artist
Even Artists who paint street scenes and cityscapes can benefit from a vacation. I was on holiday in a rented farmhouse in Pennsylvania where I met Gus. He had been living at the farm since a hatchling. The last surviving goose of a family of five, Gus was alternately cute, mean, and very protective of his territory. He was also protective of my eleven year old son, Sebastian, the only human being that he allowed near his personal space. He also would tap on the window depicted here when bored, annoyed, or hungry. He was an excellent model, posing in front of the glass, enjoying his own reflection for many hours each day.
