Captured on a beautiful evening, this coastal photograph showcases rolling waves coming ashore beside the iconic Gulf State Park Pier in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Stretching 1,544 feet into the Gulf of Mexico also known as the Gulf of America the pier stands strong after being rebuilt following damage from Hurricane Sally in 2020. Reopened in September 2024, the pier now complements the scene with a dramatic sky overhead, where textured clouds add visual interest to the vibrant blue backdrop and dynamic beach setting. I captured this in June 2025.
