Gulf Shores Coastal Waves View

Gulf coast waves roll in as I captured this beach photograph from a lower point of view with the Gulf State Park Pier in the distance at Gulf Shores, Alabama, United States. The perspective places you right at the water's edge, allowing the textures of the wet sand and incoming surf to lead the eye toward the iconic pier.

Captured in June 2025, this is the newly restored fishing pier that reopened in September 2024. The original pier had sustained significant damage from Hurricane Sally in 2020. The pier once again serves as one of Alabama's most recognizable coastal landmarks and a favorite destination for fishing, sightseeing, and photography.

A few soft clouds overhead add depth and atmosphere to the peaceful ocean setting, while the soft evening light creates a calming and inviting mood. This photo captures a serene moment along the Gulf of Mexico, showcasing the timeless beauty of Gulf Shores and the enduring spirit of this beloved Alabama destination.
