Inspired by an evening walk along Fort Myers Beach in Florida. The calm gulf water lapped at my feet as the distance sounds of music beckoned. The sunset sparkled with such brilliance off the beach and ocean it was blinding and beautiful.
April is heavily influenced by the classical impressionists but strives to bring about elements of expressionism as well into her paintings. She uses color fearlessly and is always striving to "capture the light". April wants her paintings to invoke the feelings of her subjects and especially the wild feelings of being out of doors surrounded by the beauty of nature.
