Piece description from the artist
Fying out of Reagan National Airport at sunrise is always a beautiful sight over Washington, DC. It was a hot summer morning, the day after 4th of July, when I realized I would be taking off right at sunrise. Before boarding I went up to the airline's desk to see if I could get an east facing window seat in order to catch a glimpse of the sun rising. The seat and timing of the sun peaking over the horizon was perfect. Sometimes all you have to do is ask.
