This sunset photograph captures the bold golden light radiating behind the Omaha, Nebraska skyline, casting a brilliant glow that reflects off the skyscrapers and dances across the surface of the Missouri River, the natural boundary between Nebraska and Iowa. A small rivulet from the riverbank leads the eye toward the shimmering water. Taken from Council Bluffs, Iowa, the scene highlights the iconic Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge—a 3,000-foot cable suspension footbridge recognized for its graceful, snake-like curve. Those crossing the bridge by foot, bike, or scooter may even feel its gentle sway, creating a memorable experience suspended above the river.
