Oil on canvas, varnished. Another painting in my cycle of alternative art works: I tried to unify classic pop art, 60's comics and portraiture. Moreover, this painting has a new «experimental» element – poppy wreath.
Combine comics and flowers – a strange idea…But it turned out very interesting. Like all my other paintings, this one is painted in oil and covered with a special varnish.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
